Wildmen's Night Out: A New Tradition
by John Madden on February 2, 2023The Wildmen’s Night Out dinner is a new tradition for St. Margaret’s church that has its roots firmly entrenched in the Episcopal church. Originally founded in Norman, Oklahoma at St. Michael’s Episcopal church, the Wildmen’s Night Out has always been a Men’s Group night of charcoal fires, thick cut ribeye steaks, cold beverages, and wonderful fellowship. This tradition was brought to St. Margaret’s in November 2022 and typically takes place the 2nd Friday of every month. Three dinners have been held with attendance growing each time indicating a growing excitement around the event.
In holding with established tradition, in February the Wildmen’s Night Out Dinner opens its cloistered doors to welcome all adult members of the church and friends to attend (the date is 2/17/2023 this year so please plan to attend!). It is important to note that while the February dinner is co-ed and happens to be very close to Valentine’s day, it is in no way meant to be construed as a date night. If people would like to treat it as such that is fine, but any adult regardless of gender identity or relationship status are welcome to join in on the fun. As always, we want members of the church to invite family members and friends to come, too, we simply ask that you sign up to let us know how many are coming. For this special one coming up in February, the Men’s Group will be providing chicken free of charge for those that do not eat red meat, but if you want steak the cost is $20. Please join us Friday February 17, 2023 for the latest Wildmen’s Night Out Dinner, all adults are welcome. Kindly RSVP so we can have an awesome steak or tasty chicken for you by clicking the link to sign up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c094da4ae2fa5fdc16-wildmens3
