Prayers for Pakistan
by anonymous on December 30, 2014On December 19th, an impromptu prayer service was held at the House of Prayer, and over 200 people came. They came to remember the 148 people, most of whom were children, who were killed on December 16th when terrorists attacked their school in Peshawar, Pakistan. Half a world away, people from around our community gathered to stand in solidarity with the victims and their families and to pray for peace. The event came together quickly, was announced the day before only on Facebook, spread through word-of-mouth, and yet so many came that the courtyard outside the House of Prayer was spilling over with people. For those of us who missed, we can still join them in prayer and always stand for peace.
