Construction Has Begun!

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
Getting our building addition started has been a exercise in patience.  Although we originally bid the addition in August, we were surprised when the building project came in over budget.  Although the building committee worked tirelessly with the contractor and architect we were unable to negotiate us into budget.  We chose to rebid with a slightly different layout presented to us by the architect.  This change coupled with some minor construction changes & omitting some work in the existing building got us into budget.  That was done in October and our patience paid off, the rebids came in well under budget and we didn’t lose any of our discerned needs with the addition, and we have room to begin looking at the needs in the existing building.  We then waited patiently as the bank went thru the process of approving our loan, which took longer than anticipated, but we have a great financing package.

Construction started in earnest in mid-December and then old man winter came knocking.   The good news is this was expected and will not tremendously affect the overall building schedule.  We expect storm drainage to be installed soon and then the building foundation will begin.  For safety’s sake, we caution everyone to take care when viewing the construction and remain outside the fence.  Please contract Ronnie Beggs @ 501-680-9411 if you have any questions or concerns as the construction process continues.
