Christ Child Guild

The Christ Child Guild exists in order to celebrate the birth and adoption of children into families in our congregation. Representing the congregation, members of the guild support and respond to the needs to expecting families preceding and following the arrival of a child. Embracing the gifts of Baptism, the members acknowledge the child’s relationship with God, and join the families in the joy and celebration of the newly baptized and the selection of godparents.

Who - All who are interested in helping families prepare for the arrival of a new child.

When - Each guild member is assigned to a family when the family announces their pregnancy or pending adoption. The member follows the family through the pregnancy/adoption and continues throughout the baptism of the child.

Time involved - A few hours over about a one-year period.
