How to Become Involved

For more information contact Cindy Minor

You don’t have to wait to be invited – everyone is welcome to participate in classes, groups and ministries. You can simply show up at a class or group function and we promise you’ll be warmly welcomed. To become involved in one of the ministries, contact Cindy Minor, Director for New Member Ministries, at 821-1311 or equip@stmargaetschurch.org, and she will put you in touch with the right person.

Don’t want to go to a gathering alone the first time?
Call the contact person named in the announcement, or call the church office at 821-1311 or admin@stmargaretschurch.org. We will gladly put you in touch with the right person.

Can’t find what you’re looking for?
Call the church office at 821-1311 or admin@stmargaretschurch.org, and we will be happy to help.

What classes are available?
Adult, Youth and Children’s Formation Classes all meet on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. and evenings as scheduled. Evening classes for adults are commonly scheduled for Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Additional classes and programs are available for youth at EYC (Episcopal Youth Community) weekly gatherings. Information about these and other classes may be found on the website under Christian Formation, in The Piper, on the Information Table in the Welcome Center, or by calling the church office at 821-1311 or admin@stmargaretschurch.org.

What are some of the Fellowship Groups that meet regularly?
Episcopal Church Women: a group for the women of the church that meets for fun, fellowship, outreach and study. Meeting times are announced in The Piper.

The Men’s Group: for men of all ages, this group meets for fun and fellowship, does special projects and cooks breakfast the second Sunday of each month. They meet the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at St. Margaret’s.

Young Adults: for couples and singles ages 21-39. They meet for fun, fellowship and special studies. Meeting times are announced in The Piper.

Merrimakers: Adult singles and couples in a monthly social evening.  RSVP to the host of the month (see bulletin board in hall between Williams Hall and sanctuary), commit to BYOB and an appetizer or dessert for 10-15 people. Soft drinks are provided.  Sign-ups are continual and you do not need to attend every month to be part of the fun!  This is a social group whose focus is getting to know fellow parishioners better. Contact Linda Fritz 868-7687 for more information.

There are many other Small Groups that meet weekly or monthly. More information about them may be found on the website under Ministries>Small Groups.

What other kinds of groups are there at St. Margaret’s?
There are many, many opportunities for ministry: Worship Ministries, Pastoral Care Ministries, Service Ministries, Hospitality Ministries, Outreach Ministries, Formation Ministries. For information on the many offerings in each of these categories contact Cindy Minor at 821-1311 or equip@stmargaretschurch.org.

What if I don’t know enough to even know what to ask?
Call the church office at 821-1311 or admin@stmargaretschurch. We’ll be happy to help you figure out where to get started.
