Walking the Mourner's Path
St. Margaret's would like to offer once again "Walking the Mourner's Path," an eight-week grief-bereavement workshop for anyone who has suffered a significant loss and would like to discuss and process the experience with others who are on their own grief journey.
Regardless of whether the death of your loved one is recent or happened years ago, this group offers support by examining scripture and Christ-centered group exercises that gently encourage you to accept the death of a loved one as a natural process of life and learn ways to turn from grief to a more joyful way of living. Through teamwork and workbooks, participants learn ways in which they may honor their loved ones and their loss. This is a nondenominational workshop, though it is Christ-centered in its belief that the love of God can help one heal from devastating loss.
The workshop needs at least eight participants to be effective, and no more than 12 members. The group will meet once a week, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., beginning in January 2008. The cost of the workshop is $80 for materials. For more information on the program visit Mourner's Path web site at www.mournerspath.com.
