In February our Vestry had
a retreat at Camp Mitchell to focus on the 5 priority areas of our church as
defined by our Vestry. In a word, this retreat was FANTASTIC! The
energy and passion for our church is remarkable. There is no doubt that
this Vestry is focused on growing spiritually. Developing these 5
areas of our church is how we will do just that.
The 5 areas of priority, the
team leaders, and their contact information are listed below:
If you are called to be involved
in any of these areas, then please contact one of the people above by clicking
on their email address. Each group has 5 vestry members and each group is
charged with adding at least 5 more members. We want the new additions to
be from the congregation so that we can all be a part of this exciting journey.
Please be sure the Sundays in April after Easter and in May are on your calendars for "Conversations with ..." meetings at
10:00 in Williams Hall. This is when each group will present
and discuss the goals and plans for 2010 in each priority area.
Sunday, April 11 will be the full overview of the future, with teams in place
and work having begun. The following Sundays will give you the chance
to detail each area, enlisting even more input and assistance, and providing
the communication with the parish that will be critical to the success of
everything.
